Product description:	The GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Receiver for Atmospheric Sounding (GRAS) probes the vertical profile of the atmosphere by observing GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) in a limb sounding geometry. GRAS observes rising and setting occultations in velocity and anti-velocity direction, providing a minimum of 500 profiles per day with high vertical resolution. The GRAS GDS Level 1B product contains profiles of bending angle over impact parameter. Level 2 products providing refractivity profiles over altitude, covering the stratosphere and troposphere are available from EUMETSAT ROM SAF. Such products can be further processed to derive temperature or humidity profiles. The quality of the GRAS products from Metop-B is in all aspects equivalent to that of Metop-A. In the period November-2012 to April-2013, the service is pre-operational and the file names for Metop-B products reflect this.
